属酸化物膜の結晶系と、上記第2金属酸化物膜形成用溶液により得られる上記第2金属酸化物膜の結晶系とが近似する(又は一致する)ように、それぞれの溶液組成を選択するのが好ましい。なお、第2製造方法のうち、上記(1)工程については上述した第1製造方法と同様であるため、以下、上記(2)工程についてのみ説明し、重複する説明は省略する。
、参照する図4A,Bは、図3A,Bに示す方法により得られた電極層を用いて固体酸化物形燃料電池を作製する方法の一例を示す概略工程図である。なお、図3A,Bに示す製造方法は、上述した本発明の第1製造方法の一例である。また、図3及び図4において、図1と同一構成のものには同一の符号を付し、その説明は省略する。
アルミナ粉末(粒径範囲:0.01〜10μm、平均粒径:1μm)とアセチレンブラック粉末とをエタノールに加え、これらをエタノール中で粉砕しながら混合した。次に、これらを温度100℃で15分間乾燥し、静水圧プレス機にて押し固めた後、1400℃で5時間焼結し、多孔質基材(厚み:800μm)を作製した。
し、130℃で5分間乾燥させた後、1200℃で1時間焼結して、上記空気極層上にGDCからなる電解質層(厚み:50μm)を形成した。
鉄−ニッケル粉末(粒径範囲:0.01〜10μm、平均粒径:1μm)とアセチレンブラック粉末とをエタノールに加え、これらをエタノール中で粉砕しながら混合した。次に、これらを温度100℃で15分間乾燥し、静水圧プレス機にて押し固めた後、1400℃で5時間焼結し、多孔質基材(厚み:800μm)を作製した。

チレングリコールモノブチルエーテルアセテートに加えてペーストを調製した。そして、このペ−ストをスクリーン印刷により上記電解質層上に塗布した後、これらを1200℃で5時間焼結することにより空気極層(厚み:30μm)を形成して、固体酸化物形燃料電池の単セルを得た。
実施例2と同様の方法により多孔質基材を形成した後、実施例1と同様の方法により上記多孔質基材を覆う金属酸化物膜(上記多孔質基材上の厚み:0.2μm)を形成した。これにより、上記多孔質基材と上記金属酸化物膜とからなる空気極層を得た。
及び還元剤であるボラン−ジメチルアミン錯体(関東化学社製)を、それぞれの濃度が0.03mol/リットル、0.0045mol/リットル及び0.05mol/リットルとなるように、水及びエタノールからなる混合溶媒に溶解させて金属酸化物膜形成用溶液を調製した。使用した混合溶媒は、容量比(水:エタノール)が、50:50であった。そして、上記金属酸化物膜形成用溶液(70℃)中に、上記空気極層を24時間浸漬して、上記空気極層上に電解質層(上記空気極層上の厚み:0.6μm)を形成した。
実施例2と同様の方法により多孔質基材を形成した後、実施例1と同様の方法により上記多孔質基材を覆う金属酸化物膜(上記多孔質基材上の厚み:0.2μm)を形成した。これにより、上記多孔質基材と上記金属酸化物膜とからなる空気極層を得た。

リウム(関東化学社製)を、それぞれの濃度が0.1mol/リットル、0.05mol/リットル及び0.05mol/リットルとなるように、水及びエタノールからなる混合溶媒に溶解させて第2金属酸化物膜形成用溶液を調製した。使用した混合溶媒は、容量比(水:エタノール)が、20:80であった。そして、上記第1金属酸化物膜を500℃に加熱した状態で、上記第1金属酸化物膜上に上記第2金属酸化物形成用溶液(100ミリリットル)をハンドスプレー(アズワン社製)で噴霧し、上記第1金属酸化物膜上に接触する第2金属酸化物膜(上記第1金属酸化物膜上の厚み:1μm)を形成した。これにより、上記多孔質基材、上記第1金属酸化物膜及び上記第2金属酸化物膜からなる燃料極層を得た。
実施例2と同様の方法により多孔質基材を形成した後、実施例5と同様の方法により上記多孔質基材を覆う空気極層を形成した。

- 多孔質基材と、前記多孔質基材に形成された金属酸化物膜とを有する固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層であって、
前記多孔質基材は、セラミックスからなり、
前記金属酸化物膜は、第1金属酸化物膜と第2金属酸化物膜とからなり、
前記第1金属酸化物膜は、前記多孔質基材の外表面及び前記多孔質基材内の気孔を形成する壁面の少なくとも一部に沿って形成されており、
前記第2金属酸化物膜は、前記第1金属酸化物膜上に形成されていることを特徴とする固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。 - 前記セラミックスは、アルミナ及びシリカから選ばれる少なくとも一つを含む請求項1に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。
- 前記固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層は燃料極層であり、
前記第1金属酸化物膜は、蛍石型又はペロブスカイト型の結晶構造を有する酸化物イオン伝導体と金属触媒とを含む請求項1又は2に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。 - 前記固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層は空気極層であり、
前記第1金属酸化物膜は、ペロブスカイト型の結晶構造を有する金属酸化物を含む請求項1又は2に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。 - 前記金属酸化物膜のうち前記多孔質基材上に存在する領域の厚みが、10nm以上である請求項1に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。
- 前記壁面に沿って形成された前記金属酸化物膜の一部の厚みが、10nm以上10μm以下である請求項1に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。
- 前記気孔の平均径が、1μm以上100μm以下である請求項1に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。
- 前記多孔質基材内の全ての気孔内に前記第1金属酸化物膜の一部が存在しており、
前記第1金属酸化物膜の一部は、前記気孔を形成する壁面の少なくとも一部に沿って形成されている請求項1に記載の固体酸化物形燃料電池用電極層。
