Description
実施例1.4.35Vリチウム2次電池(1)
(正極の製造)
粒径が10μmであるLiCoO295重量%、導電剤2.5重量%及びバインダー2.5重量%を混合してスラリーを得た。次いで、前記スラリーを厚さ15μmのアルミニウム箔板の両面に均一に塗布して圧延し、19.44mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極を得た。このとき、最終的に得られた正極の厚さは、128μmであった。
黒鉛材95.3重量%にバインダー4.0重量%、導電剤0.7重量%を付加及び混合してスラリーを得た。次いで、前記スラリーを厚さ10μmの銅板の両面に均一に塗布して圧延し、9.56mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極を得た。このとき、正極(C)に対する負極(A)の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)は0.49であり、最終的に得られた負極の厚さは130μmであった。
エチレンカーボネートとジメチルカーボネートの体積比が1:2である溶液に1モルのLiPF6を溶解して電解液を得た。
上記の方法に従い製造された正極及び負極を用いてコイン状の電池と角形電池を製造した。この電池の製造工程は、空気との接触を避けるためにグローブボックス及びドライルームにおいて行われた。
22mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極(C)と11mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極(A)を用いて正極に対する負極の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)を0.50に調節した以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
22mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極(C)と11.66mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極(A)を用いて正極(C)に対する負極(A)の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)を0.53に調節した以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にして4.4Vリチウムイオン2次電池を製造した。
22mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極(C)と12.57mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極(A)を用いて正極(C)に対する負極(A)の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)を0.57に調節した以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にして4.5Vリチウムイオン2次電池を製造した。
電解液(1M LiPF6が溶解されたEC:DMC=1:2(体積比)の混合溶液)100重量%当たり3−フッ化トルエン(3−FT)3重量%が加えられた電解液を用いた以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
比較例1.4.2Vリチウム2次電池の製造
22mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極(C)と9.68mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極(A)を用いて正極に対する負極の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)を前記表1のように0.44に調節した以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
電解液にシクロヘキシルベンゼン(CHB)3重量%を加えた以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
電解液に3−フッ化トルエンに代えて4−フッ化トルエン(para−FT)3重量%を加えた以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
正極(C)に対する負極(A)の単位面積当たり活物質の重量比(A/C)を0.44に調節し、且つ、電解液にCHBを3重量%加えた以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
1−1.充放電容量の評価
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級のリチウム2次電池と4.2V級のリチウム2次電池に対して電池の充放電容量の評価を下記のように行った。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級のリチウム2次電池と4.2V級のリチウム2次電池に対する過充電の比較実験を下記のように行った。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級のリチウム2次電池に対して下記のように高温サイクルの評価実験を行った。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級の高電圧リチウム2次電池の安全性を評価するために、下記のように高温露出実験を行った。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級の高電圧リチウム2次電池に対し、下記のように高温保存実験を行った。
3−フッ化トルエンを電解液に加えて得られた実施例5のリチウム2次電池を用いた。対照群としては、CHB及び4−フッ化トルエン(4−FT)を電解液にそれぞれ加えて得られた比較例2及び比較例3の電池を用いた。
電解液添加剤を加えていない実施例1の電池及び3−フッ化トルエンを電解液に加えて得られた実施例5のリチウム2次電池を用いた。対照群としては、CHBを加えて得られた比較例2の電池を用いた。
Claims (6)
- リチウム2次電池であって、
正極(C)と、負極(A)と、分離膜と、及び電解液を備えてなり、
前記正極(C)に対する前記負極(A)の単位面積当たりの、両電極活物質の重量比(A/C)が0.50乃至0.57であり、
前記両電極活物質における正極活物質の粒径が5乃至30μmの範囲であり、
前記両電極活物質における正極活物質の搬入量が10乃至30mg/cm2の範囲であり、
前記両電極活物質における負極活物質の搬入量が4.4乃至21mg/cm2の範囲であり、
前記正極(C)に対する前記負極(A)の電極板の厚さ比(A/C)が0.7乃至1.4であり、
前記正極活物質がリチウムコバルト系の複合酸化物であり、
前記負極活物質が黒鉛材であり、
前記電池の充電終止電圧が4.35乃至4.6Vである、リチウム2次電池。 - 前記正極(C)が、リチウムが吸蔵及び放出可能な正極活物質に、Al,Mg,Zr,Fe,Zn,Ga,Sn,Si及びGeよりなる群から選ばれた一種以上の金属がドープされてなるものである、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記両電極活物質における正極活物質が、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、13族元素、14族元素、15族元素、遷移金属及び希土類元素よりなる群から選ばれた一種以上の元素を含むリチウム含有複合酸化物である、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記電解液が、4.7V以上の反応電位を有する化合物をさらに含んでなる、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記4.7V以上の反応電位を有する化合物が、2−フッ化トルエン及び3−フッ化トルエンよりなる群から選ばれた一種以上のフッ化トルエン化合物である、請求項4に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記4.7V以上の反応電位を有する化合物の含量が、電解液100重量%当たり0.1乃至10重量%の範囲である、請求項4に記載のリチウム2次電池。
