Description
実施例1.4.35V級のリチウム2次電池の製造
(正極の製造)
粒径が10μmであるLiCoO295重量%、導電剤2.5重量%及びバインダー2.5重量%を混合してスラリーを得た。次いで、前記スラリーを厚さ15μmのアルミニウム箔板の両面に均一に塗布して圧延し、19.44mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極を得た。このとき、最終的に得られた正極の厚さは、128μmであった。
黒鉛材95.3重量%、バインダー4.0重量%、導電剤0.7重量%を付加及び混合して負極スラリーを得た。次いで、前記負極スラリーを厚さ10μmの銅板の両面に均一に塗布して圧延し、9.56mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極を製造した。このとき、正極(C)に対する負極(A)の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)は0.49であり、最終的に得られた負極の厚さは130μmであった。
エチレンカーボネートとジメチルカーボネートの体積比が1:2である溶液に1モルのLiPF6を溶解して電解液を得た。ここにサクシノニトリル3重量%及び3−フッ化トルエン(3−FT)3重量%を加えた。
上記した方法により得られた正極及び負極を用いて角形電池を製造した。
19.44mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する正極(C)と8.56mg/cm2の活物質重量を有する負極(A)を用いて正極に対する負極の単位面積当たり重量比(A/C)を0.44に調節した以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
比較例1
電解液にサクシノニトリル及び3−フッ化トルエンを加えていない以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
電解液にサクシノニトリルを加え、3−フッ化トルエンを加えていない以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
電解液にサクシノニトリルに代えてセバコニトリルに加え、3−フッ化トルエンを加えていない以外は、前記実施例1の方法と同様にしてリチウム2次電池を製造した。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級のリチウム2次電池に対して下記のように高温サイクルの評価実験を行った。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級のリチウム2次電池の安全性を評価するために下記のように実験を行った。
サクシノニトリル及び3−フッ化トルエンを電解液に加えて得られた実施例1のリチウム2次電池を用いた。対照群としては、電解液添加剤を加えていない比較例1の電池及びサクシノニトリルを電解液に加えて得られた比較例2の電池を用いた。
サクシノニトリル及び3−フッ化トルエンを電解液に加えて得られた実施例1のリチウム2次電池を用いた。対照群としては、電解液添加剤を加えていない比較例1の電池及びサクシノニトリルを電解液に加えて得られた比較例2の電池を用いた。
本発明に従い製造された4.35V以上級のリチウム2次電池に対して下記のように高温保存性の評価実験を行った。
サクシノニトリル及び3−フッ化トルエンを電解液に加えて得られた実施例1のリチウム2次電池を用いた。対照群としては、サクシノニトリル及びセバコニトリルをそれぞれ電解液に加えて得られた比較例2及び比較例3の電池を用いた。
サクシノニトリル及び3−フッ化トルエンを電解液に加えて得られた実施例1のリチウム2次電池を用いた。対照群としては、電解液にそれぞれサクシノニトリル及びセバコニトリルを加えて得られた比較例2及び比較例3の電池を用いた。
Claims (4)
- (i)正極(C)と、(ii)負極(A)と、(iii)分離膜と、及び(iV)電解液を備えてなる、リチウム2次電池であって、
前記電池の充電終止電圧が4.35以上であり、
(i)前記正極(C)が、正極活物質が、5μm〜30μmの範囲の粒径を有してなり、かつ、前記正極の両面に、10mg/cm 2 〜30mg/cm 2 の範囲の量で搬入されてなり、
(ii) 前記負極(A)が、前記負極活物質が、前記負極の両面に、4.4mg/cm 2 〜21mg/cm 2 の範囲の量で搬入されてなり、
(iV) 前記電解液が、
(a)サクシノニトリル及びセバコニトリル化合物からなる群から選択されてなる、脂肪族ジニトリル化合物、及び
(b)2−フッ化トルエン及び3−フッ化トルエンからなる群から選択されてなる、4.7V以上の反応電位を有する少なくとも一種のフッ化トルエン化合物とを含んでなり、
前記脂肪族ジニトリル化合物の量が、前記電解液100重量%当たり、0.1重量%〜10重量%であり、及び
前記フッ化トルエン化合物の量が、前記電解液100重量%当たり、0.1重量%〜10重量%であり、
前記正極(C)に対する負極(A)の単位面積当たり両電極活物質の重量比(A/C)が、0.44〜0.70の範囲である、リチウム2次電池。 - 前記電池の充電終止電圧が4.35〜4.7Vの範囲であり、又は、
前記正極(C)が、リチウムが吸蔵及び放出可能な正極活物質に、Al,Mg,Zr,Fe,Zn,Ga,Sn,Si及びGeよりなる群から選ばれた1種以上の金属がドープされてなるものである、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池。 - 前記正極活物質が、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、13族元素、14族元素、15族元素、遷移金属及び希土類元素よりなる群から選ばれた1種以上の元素を含むリチウム含有複合酸化物である、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウム2次電池。
- 前記正極(C)に対する負極(A)の電極板の厚さ比(A/C)が、0.7〜1.4である、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池。
