Description
正極活物質として、LiNi0.65Mn0.20Co0.15O4を用い、正極活物質、導電剤の黒鉛、結着剤のポリフッ化ビニリデンを85:10:5の重量比で混練機を用い、30分間の混練の後、正極合剤のスラリーを得た。このスラリーを集電体である厚さ20μmのアルミニウム箔の両面に塗布した。集電体箔片面の単位面積あたりの正極活物質量は11.4mg/cm2であった。一方、負極活物質には天然黒鉛を用い、結着剤にはポリフッ化ビニリデンを用いて、負極活物質:結着剤=90:10の重量比で混練した。得られた負極合剤のスラリーを厚さ10μmの銅箔の両面に塗布した。
正極活物質として、LiNi0.55Mn0.25Co0.20O2を用い、負極活物質には人造黒鉛を用い、実施例1と同様に電池を作製した。ここではMa/Mc比が0.60になるように正極活物質と負極活物質の量を調整した。
正極活物質にはLiNi0.70Mn0.15Co0.10Al0.05O2を用い、負極活物質には人造黒鉛を用い、実施例1と同様に電池を作製した。Ma/Mc比は0.55、集電体箔片面の正極活物質量は12.0mg/cm2であった。実施例1と同様に調べた入出力特性の結果を図4に示す。SOC30%で2000W/kgを超える高い入出力密度が得られた。エネルギー密度は109Wh/kgであった。
Claims (5)
- 正極集電体箔の両面に塗布され,化学式LiMO 2 (MはNi,Co及びMn又はNi,Co,Mn及びAl)で表されるリチウム遷移金属複合酸化物を含有する正極活物質を含む正極と、負極集電体箔の両面に塗布されリチウムを吸蔵・放出する負極活物質を含む黒鉛負極と、リチウム塩を含有する非水電解液を有するリチウム二次電池であって、前記正極の集電体箔の片面における単位面積あたりの前記正極活物質の量Mc(mg/cm 2 )と、前記負極の集電体箔の片面における単位面積あたりの前記負極活物質の量Ma(mg/cm 2 )との比Ma/Mcが0.5〜0.7であり,かつMcが9〜14g/cm 2 であり、該リチウム二次電池の充電深度(SOC)が20〜40%の範囲において入力密度と出力密度がほぼ等しいSOC領域が存在することを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。
- 前記リチウム遷移金属複合酸化物LiMO 2 のMの中でNiの原子比が0.55〜0.7であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 正極集電体箔の両面に塗布され化学式LiMO 2 (MはNi,Co及びMn又はNi,Co,Mn及びAl)で表されるリチウム遷移金属複合酸化物を含有する正極活物質を含む正極と、負極集電体箔の両面に塗布されリチウムを吸蔵・放出する負極活物質を含む黒鉛負極と、リチウム塩を含有する非水電解液を有するプラグインハイブリッド自動車用リチウム二次電池であって、前記正極の集電体箔の片面における単位面積あたりの前記正極活物質の量Mc(mg/cm 2 )と、前記負極の集電体箔の片面における単位面積あたりの前記負極活物質の量Ma(mg/cm 2 )との比Ma/Mcが0.5〜0.7であり,前記正極の集電体箔の片面における単位面積あたりの前記正極活物質の量Mcが9〜14g/cm 2 であり、該リチウム二次電池の充電深度(SOC)が20〜40%の範囲において入力密度と出力密度がほぼ等しいSOC領域が存在し、エネルギー密度が100Wh/kg以上であることを特徴とするプラグインハイブリッド自動車用リチウム二次電池。
- 前記リチウム遷移金属複合酸化物LiMO 2 のMの中でNiの原子比が0.55〜0.7であることを特徴とする請求項3記載のプラグインハイブリッド自動車用リチウム二次電池。
- 前記SOCの20〜40%においてほぼ等しい入出力密度が、2000W/kg以上であることを特徴とする請求項3記載のプラグインハイブリッド自動車用リチウム二次電池
