Description
Claims (1)
- 操舵部材の操作に応じたピニオン軸の回転をラック軸の軸長方向の移動に変換して操舵を行わせるラックピニオン式の舵取機構を備える車両に装備してあり、前記操舵部材に加えられる操舵トルクを検出するトルク検出装置と、該トルク検出装置による検出トルクに基づいて動作し、前記ラック軸に操舵補助力を加える操舵アクチュエータとを備えるパワーステアリング装置において、
前記ピニオン軸に設けたピニオンと前記ラック軸に設けたラック歯とに噛合し、前記ピニオン軸の回転を前記ラック軸に伝える中間ギヤを備え、
前記トルク検出装置は、前記ピニオン軸に加わる力を検出する第1の力センサと、前記中間ギヤの支軸に加わる力を検出する第2の力センサと、前記第1の力センサ及び第2の力センサによる検出力の差に基づいて前記操舵トルクを演算するトルク演算部とを備えることを特徴とするパワーステアリング装置。
