Description
1.(A)水及び乳化剤の存在下に重合性不飽和モノマ−混合物を用いて多段階で乳化重合して得られるエマルションであって、該エマルション粒子の芯部分の共重合体のガラス転移温度(TgA)が−40〜35℃であり、該エマルション粒子の最外殻部分の共重合体のガラス転移温度(TgB)が25〜100℃であって、該TgBがTgAより少なくとも20℃以上高い共重合体エマルション、及び(B)下記一般式
で表される重量平均分子量500〜30,000であるポリオルガノシロキサンを含有する上塗り塗料組成物であって、該(B)成分の使用量が(A)成分100重量部(固形分)に対して0.1〜50重量部(固形分)であることを特徴とする上塗り塗料組成物、
2.共重合体エマルション(A)が、アルコキシシリル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜20重量%、シクロアルキル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜70重量%及びその他の重合性不飽和モノマー10〜100重量%からなるモノマ−混合物を乳化重合して得られるアクリル共重合体(i)の存在下に、アルコキシシリル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜20重量%、シクロアルキル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜70重量%及びその他の重合性不飽和モノマー10〜100重量%からなるモノマ−混合物を加えて乳化重合して得られるアクリル共重合体(ii)を含むコア/シェルエマルションである1項記載の上塗り塗料組成物、
3.ポリオルガノシロキサン(B)において、R3がエチル基、プロピル基及びグリシジル基の群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である1項記載の上塗り塗料組成物、
4.無機質材の養生前又は養生後に、シーラーを塗装し、次いで1ないし3のいずれか1項記載の上塗り塗料組成物を塗装してなる塗装無機質材の製造方法、
に関する。
Tg(℃)=Tg(°K)−273
各式中、W1、W2、・・は共重合に使用されたモノマーのそれぞれの重量%、T1、T2、・・はそれぞれ単量体のホモポリマ−のTg(°K)を表わす。なお、T1、T2、・・は、Polymer Hand Book(Second Edition,J.Brandup・E.H.Immergut 編)による値である。また、モノマーのホモポリマーのTgが明確でない場合のガラス転移温度(℃)は、静的ガラス転移温度とし、例えば示差走査熱量計「DSC−50Q型」(島津製作所製、商品名)を用いて、試料を測定カップにとり、真空吸引して完全に溶剤を除去した後、3℃/分の昇温速度で−100℃〜+100℃の範囲で熱量変化を測定し、低温側の最初のベースラインの変化点を静的ガラス転移温度とした。
製造例1
温度計、サーモスタット、攪拌器、還流冷却器、及び滴下装置を備えた容量2リットルの反応容器に、脱イオン水50部、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ソーダ0.05部を仕込み、82℃まで昇温した。別容器に、脱イオン水38部、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ソーダ 3部、重合開始剤としてペルオキソ硫酸アンモニウム0.15部を添加し、よく攪拌後、その中に下記モノマー混合物を加えて攪拌しモノマー乳化物(1)を得た。
シクロヘキシルメタクリレート 20 部
メチルメタクリレート 10 部
n−ブチルアクリレート 29.6部
n−ブチルメタクリレート 9 部
ビニルトリエトキシシラン 0.7部
メタクリル酸 0.7部
シクロヘキシルメタクリレート 15 部
メチルメタクリレート 10 部
n−ブチルアクリレート 2 部
n−ブチルメタクリレート 2.4部
ビニルトリエトキシシラン 0.3部
メタクリル酸 0.3部
製造例1において、モノマー乳化物(1)及びモノマー乳化物(2)に用いた各モノマー組成を後記表1に示す通りとする以外は、製造例1と同様にして共重合体エマルション(A−2)〜(A−5)を得た。尚、製造例5では乳化剤としてドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ソーダの代わりに「アクアロンHS−1025」(第一工業製薬社製、反応性乳化剤)を同量用いて行なった。
「BYK−190」(ビックケミー社製、商品名、分散樹脂)2部、脱イオン水50部、及びチタン白100部を混合し、これをペイントシェーカーにて分散処理して固形分67%の顔料ペーストを作成した。
実施例1〜7及び比較例1〜4
上記製造例1〜5で得られた共重合体エマルション、シリコーン化合物、顔料ペーストなどを、後記表2に示す配合にて攪拌混合した後、アンモニア0.1部を加えてpHを約8〜9に調整し、固形分54%の各水性塗料を得た。尚、実施例6の塗料では、シリコーン化合物と紫外線吸収剤をプレミックスしてから他の成分と攪拌混合して作成した。また表2の配合は固形分表示であり、表2におけるシリコーン化合物(丸1)〜(丸3)は下記の通りである。得られた各水性塗料を下記性能試験に供した。結果を表3に示す。
(*1)耐候性:シーラーを塗装したスレート板上に、実施例及び比較例の各水性塗料を乾燥膜厚30μmになるように塗装し、120℃で20分間乾燥して各試験塗板を作成した。このとき作成した試験塗板の60°−60°鏡面反射率を初期光沢値として測定した(これを光沢保持率の試験開始時間、すなわちゼロ時間とする)。
○: 光沢保持率79〜70%以上 外観変化なし
△: 光沢保持率69〜50% 僅かに変色
×: 光沢保持率50%未満 著しい変色
△: やや抵抗があり跡が残る
×: 塗膜が付着してはずれない
△: 一部細かいワレが認められる
×: 全面ワレが認められる
△: 一部細かいワレが認められる
×: 全面ワレが認められる
Claims (4)
- (A)水及び乳化剤の存在下に重合性不飽和モノマ−混合物を用いて多段階で乳化重合して得られるエマルションであって、該エマルション粒子の芯部分の共重合体のガラス転移温度(TgA)が−40〜35℃であり、該エマルション粒子の最外殻部分の共重合体のガラス転移温度(TgB)が25〜100℃であって、該TgBがTgAより少なくとも20℃以上高い共重合体エマルション、及び(B)下記一般式
で表される重量平均分子量500〜30,000であるポリオルガノシロキサンを含有する上塗り塗料組成物であって、該(B)成分の使用量が(A)成分100重量部(固形分)に対して0.1〜50重量部(固形分)であることを特徴とする上塗り塗料組成物。 - 共重合体エマルション(A)が、アルコキシシリル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜20重量%、シクロアルキル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜70重量%及びその他の重合性不飽和モノマー10〜100重量%からなるモノマ−混合物を乳化重合して得られるアクリル共重合体(i)の存在下に、アルコキシシリル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜20重量%、シクロアルキル基含有重合性不飽和モノマ−0〜70重量%及びその他の重合性不飽和モノマー10〜100重量%からなるモノマ−混合物を加えて乳化重合して得られるアクリル共重合体(ii)を含むコア/シェルエマルションである請求項1記載の上塗り塗料組成物。
- ポリオルガノシロキサン(B)において、R3がエチル基、プロピル基及びグリシジル基の群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1記載の上塗り塗料組成物。
- 無機質材の養生前又は養生後に、シーラーを塗装し、次いで請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項記載の上塗り塗料組成物を塗装してなる塗装無機質材の製造方法。
