Abstract

967,544. Glazing. H. CLAYTON-WRIGHT Ltd. July 14, 1961 [July 15, 1960], No. 24645/60. Heading E1R. A resilient glazing strip 10, formed with grooves 11, 12 along opposed edges to receive the edges of a glass pane 13 and a body panel 14, is provided with embellishment comprising a metallic strip or foil 17 which is encased in the strip during extrusion. The weather strip may be formed of transparent plastic material or of rubber with that part of the weather strip adjacent the outer surface thereof formed of transparent plastic material. In the latter case the embellishment is encased in the plastic portion of the strip. Where a filler strip 16 is provided for expanding the weather strip into sealing engagement with the glass and body panel, embellishment 19 is embodied in the head of the strip during its extrusion.
