Abstract

989,304. Windows &c. frames; glazing. H. PASCHE. Nov. 22, 1962 [Dec. 8, 1961], No. 44181/62. Headings E1J and E1R. In a window, door or other like frame comprising a tubular metallic core 1 enclosed in a covering 2, e.g. of a thermo-plastic synthetic material, provided with projections 2a, integral with the coverings or fixable thereto, and with lip-like ends adapted to engage by thin tongues 2b in the closed condition of the window or door, a counter frame 2c, the lip-like end terminates in a resilient sharp-edge end portion 2d and the tongues 2b extended in the opposite direction to the sharp edge end portions so as to form with the counter frame 2c a peripheral suction chamber 3. The contracting surface of the frame 2c is rounded at the corner facing the tongue 2b and one or more of the corners 2c may be adapted for mounting push-on parts such as the metal or plastics glazing headings 6 or 7, the corner having an enlarged end for press-button mounting. The inner surface of the covering sleeve 1 may be ribbed as indicated at 9. Detachable projections may be formed with sawtooth ribs on the sides contacting with the covering sleeve 1.
