Abstract

1534153 Frame member C V DAVIES 22 Jan 1976 [14 Feb 1975] 6349/75 Heading E1J A frame member (10) of extruded aluminium has a slot 11 with one wall higher than the other, the tongue 12 of an extruded glazing bead 13 fits into the slot. The presence of cladding 14 will not reduce the strength of the joint between members 10 and 13, if the cladding is removed the tongue may be pressed further into the slot so that contact is made at 15. Frame members may be used to form window frames, glazed door frames or curtain walling frames.
