942,774. Glazing bar capping strips; roofing sheets. HENRY HOPE & SONS Ltd. April 4, 1962, No. 12909/62. Headings E1B, E1R, and E1V. A glazing bar capping strip 10 of translucent or transparent material such as acrylic resin or opaque synthetic resin material is of channel section formed with a portion 14 having an interior portion intermediate the mouth and base diverging away from the mouth to receive the correspondingly shaped enlarged head 19 of the web 11 of the bar, the strip being sufficiently resilient to be sprung over the head 19 while a further portion 13 of the interior of the channel section adjacent the mouth may converge away from the mouth and one or both sides of the channel is or are integrally connected, as by moulding to a laterally outwardly extending panel or panels 15.
