Abstract

933,810. Endless conveyers. WHARTON ENGINEERS (ELSTREE) Ltd. April 5, 1962, No. 13195/62. Class 78 (1). The outlet 2 of a hopper feeding unit for a band conveyer 1 is provided with a pair of plates 3 to which are adjustably secured skirt elements 4. Seal elements 8 are disposed approximately parallel to the band 1 and prevent easy escape of material from the band. The unit may be used with a conveyer of the type having curved steel pans provided with transverse corrugations. Conveyer belts of rubber and of flat form are specified.
