Abstract

1405750 Cleaning conveyers; scraper conveyers DOWTY MECO Ltd 5 July 1972 [7 July 1971] 31798/71 Heading B8A A device for cleaning a conveyer belt 10 comprises endless chains 17, 18 trained transversely around the belt 10 and carrying scrapers 19 which remove material from the underside of the lower run 13 of the belt, transfer it through a shoot 20, and deposit it on the upper run 12 of the belt. The lower run 13 is urged against the scrapers 19 by spring-biased rollers 25. The chains 17, 18 have rollers guided by tracks 21a in the shoot 20.
