Abstract

847,653. Securing wheels on shafts. RENOLD CHAINS Ltd. June 26, 1957 [July 16, 1956], No. 21964/56. Class 80 (2). A gear, chain, belt or like wheel 14 is secured on a shaft by an adaptor sleeve 13 which is keyed at 19 to the shaft and has one or two integral keys 17 fitting keyways 18 in the wheel 14, and a shoulder 15 against which the wheel is secured by axial screws 21. The sleeve may (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) carry one or two wheels on each end. Different adaptor sleeves are provided to suit corresponding shaft diameters.
