Abstract

367,727. Rollers. PRIOR, R. S., Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire. Aug. 17, 1931, No. 23128. [Class 42 (ii).] In a detachable unit for a troughed belt conveyer each roller 7 is divided longitudinally into two equal portions and is detachably mounted on the shaft 1. The halves of each roller are enclosed within a sheet-metal casing or tube 8. Screws 9 near the abutting edges of the casing secure it to one half of the roller, and screws 10 attach it to the other half. Each roller may have a core 6 of greater diameter than the shaft which is formed at each end with a recess 12 for the reception of a divided bush 13.
