Class 20(2) A connection for scaffold members comprises a square rod frame 14 having on two opposite sides vertical rods 12. 13 adapted to locate a horizontal scaffold member 4, the lower ends of these rods and downwardly bent loops 20, 25 in the other two opposite sides locating the upper end of a vertical scaffold member 30 which may be guided into the socket thus formed by first having its end engaged with the lower ends of the rod 12 and the loop 20 which are shorter than the other rod and loop, and then moving the end laterally to engage the other rod and loop when the end slips into the socket and engages the other scaffold member 4. Nails may be driven through holes 31, into the member 4. In a modification the loops and rods are of equal length but are flared out to facilitate engagement of the scaffold member 30
