Abstract

591,654. Scaffolding. PARKER, W. A. May 16, 1945, No. 12274. [Class 20 (ii)] A scaffolding comprises flat-sided uprights 1 having slots 2 and holes 10, brackets 3 which are hooked into the slots 2 connecting members 8 which rest on the brackets 3 and spring clips 11 which are forced into the holes 10 to prevent upward movement of the members 8. The ends of the members 8 have V-notches to engage around the uprights and the sides of the members 8 have slots in which the brackets 3 engage. The uprights and members 8 are preferably of tubular construction. The cross-section of corner-uprights may be oblong and the intermediate uprights square. In a modification the cross-section of the uprights is made large enough to take three connecting members at the same level.
