642,419. Drafting mechanism for textile fibres. TERMENS, J. M. Aug. 26, 1947, No. 23514. Convention date, Sept. 9, 1946. [Classes 120(i) and 120(ii)] A drafting mechanism for textile fibres comprises a pair of feed rollers A, a, a first condenser D located between said feed rollers and a pair of intermediate drafting rollers B, b; a tensioning or pressure roller c; a second condenser E and a pair of main drafting rollers F, f, said second condenser being freely suspended between the intermediate and the main drafting rollers. The condenser E may have an operating member k to facilitate its accurate positioning, the condenser D may be connected to a reciprocable sliver guide H and, further, the two condensers may be mechanically interconnected. The roller weighting device J may be applied to the mechanism.
