Abstract
611,519. Twisting &c. spindles. SCRAGG, Ltd., S. & E., and FISHWICK, T. Nov. 23, 1945, No. 31566. [Class 120(ii)] Textile winding and twisting machines, of the kind in which the spindles are each provided with a pulley pressed against an endless driving belt, have each spindle mounted on a spring-controlled arm pivoted to the fixed framing of the machine, each arm being adjustable for movement to an inoperative position by a lever which engages with a side of the arm. The spindle A, mounted on a pivoted arm C, has its pulley B, Fig. 1, normally held against the belt G by a spring F and is moved out of operative position by the lever H pivoted at K, Fig. 4, in the bracket D and having an end H<SP>1</SP> which slides,along a side of the arm C into a recess J, to hold the pulley B away from the belt G.
