640,588. Disc brakes. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and BUTLER, H. J. Jan. 6, 1948, No. 371. [Class 103 (i)] A disc brake, particularly for aircraft, has discs comprising a plurality of arcuate elements 1, disposed circumferentially in a loose fit in side by side relationship between inner and outer retaining members 2 and 3. The elements 1 are held against axial or circumferential displacement by recesses 5 which engage equispaced radially aligned rivets 4 extending between the members 2 and 3.
