655,920. Disc brakes. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and BUTLER, H. J. Oct. 29, 1948, No. 28080. [Class 103 (i)] A brake disc is provided with an augmented heat radiating surface comprising an annulus 1 having recesses extending radially inwards in one or both of its peripheral surfaces. The recesses may take the form of circumferential grooves 2, as shown in Fig. 3 or axially extending slots 9 as shown in Fig. 5.
