Abstract

631,501. Multiple fastenings. SVARTVIKS AKTIEBOLAG. July 23, 1947, No. 19763. Convention date, Oct. 29, 1945. [Class 44] In a locking device for windows having a casement 1 swinging about a horizontal axis, a lock (not shown) mounted on the lower edge of the window frame is connected to a lateral locking rod 5, adapted to secure the vertical edge of the casement and sliding along vertical edge of the frame, by means of a push rod 4 along the lower portion of the frame and a flexible member, such as a chain 6, working in an arcuate guide 7 at the comer of the frame. A locking rod may be provided on each side. Preferably a link 9 with two shoulders 10, 11 is arranged between the chain and the push, rod 4, so that the latter has some freedom of movement before actuating the chain. The guide 7 may be of channel section and recessed into the frame.
