Abstract

358,239. Casement stays. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS, Ltd. and WILLIAMS, A. H., Reliance Works, Chester. Sept. 17, 1930, No. 27770. [Class 65 (i).] An arm G, pivoted at one end to the window, carries at the other end a pin F engaging in a socket formed between two blocks C which slide in a channelled guide bar A fixed to the window frame. The two blocks C are pressed into frictional engagement with the sides of the channel by a spring D, which may be replaced by one or more helical or other springs. The pin F has an enlarged head fitting in a recess in the under side of the blocks C. The parts fixed to the window and frame may be interchanged. The window and frame may be recessed to receive the guide-bar and link so that these members are concealed when the window is closed.
