Abstract

223,077. Cable, J. Nov. 30, 1923. Double and multiple hinges. - A casement window or door is hinged to its frame by means of two pairs of links 9, 10, at the top and bottom, the links 9 and 10 of each pair being pivoted to opposite sides of the window &c. and the longer link 10 being pivoted by a pin 1 and slot 12 to the frame to allow of sliding. The longer link 10 is hinged to the window &c. at a point nearer the edge than the link 9 and is pivoted to the frame at a point just outside the closed window.
