Abstract

404,052. Sliding doors ; casement windows. WELSTEAD, C. E., WICKENDEN, J. J., and WELSTEAD, Ltd., C. E., 18a, Tanfield Road, Croydon. July 23, 1932, No. 20841. [Class 20 (iii).] Sliding casements, doors, partitions, screens, and the like, are composed of independent pairs of sashes hinged together and to sliding mullions c which are supported by T-shaped brackets c<1> and rollers c<2> and by guide rollers c<4> below. The hinged meeting edges of the sashes and the meeting edges of the central mullions overlap to exclude draught when closed. The T-shaped brackets have long extensions c<1> at one side to stiffen the mullions and are supported on different tracks to allow near approach of sashes.
