615,019. Automatic fire-arms. ZBROJOVKA BRNO NARODNI PODNIK. Aug. 14, 1946, No. 24210. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1939. [Class 119] A gas-operated fire-arm has a readily removable gas cylinder 1 provided with a dovetail guideway 13 engaging with a corresponding guide rib on the barrel 2. The cylinder is secured against axial displacement by a pin 6 supported partly in the cylinder and partly in the barrel. The pin has a bore 6<SP>1</SP> inclined obliquely, to act as a conduit for the gases from the barrel when the pin is inserted from one side and to prevent gases escaping from the barrel when inserted from the other side. The pin 6 is secured by a resilient stirrup 7 pivotally mounted on a pin 14. The gas cylinder and barrel are engaged by a nose-cap 3 uniting a hand-guard 4 to the fore-end 5 of the stock. The gas cylinder is provided with an attachment 9 for the bayonet.
