530,414. Butt-plates for smallarms. CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST BRNO. June 22, 1939, No. 18284. Convention date, June 22, 1938. [Class 119] A resiliently mounted butt-plate 1 is provided with a pivoted member 4 which can be swung into a position adjacent the butt-plate for transport, or can be moved into a position such that it can rest on the shoulder of the gunner to support the firearm when aiming, the member 4 being secured in either of these positions by a member 5<SP>1</SP> which constitutes the resilient support for the butt-plate. The butt-plate, which is pivoted at 2<SP>1</SP>, has a lip 12 engaging in a recess 11 in the breech casing, and the member 5<SP>1</SP> is resiliently and telescopically mounted in a sleeve 6 pivoted in the butt 7 at 14. The member 5' seats in a slotted portion of the butt-plate, the rounded head of the member 5' snapping into one of the recesses 13 or 13' in the member 4 to retain the latter in the required position.
