Abstract

235,863. Etablissements Braekers Soc. Anon., Francart, R., and Drock, A. June 21, 1924, [Convention date]. Machine guns.-To increase the recoil of automatic guns having a recoiling barrel, the barrel is provided at the muzzle with a piston 7 sliding in a cylinder 1 fixed to the casing. The front 2 of the cylinder is of conical form pointing rearwards and forms, with the base of the flash obscurer 11, a small chamber 10. The piston comprises a ring 7 fitting in a groove in a nozzlepiece 6 screwed to the muzzle. The piston ring is capable of slight radial play to allow for defects of centring of the barrel relatively to the cylinder.
