Abstract

587,423. Lamp-holders. DENNING, S., and RUDDY CO., Ltd., E. L. Nov. 2, 1944, No. 21487. [Class 38 (i)] A contact housing for neon-tubes comprises an insulating body 10, e.g. of porcelain, with recesses for contact springs 15 for the end-caps 17 of the tubes 14, and has a projecting wall 12 which has arcuate tube-supporting surfaces 13 perpendicular to the recesses. The springs are mounted in individual recesses or alternatively a pair of electrically connected springs lie in a single recess to connect the adjacent ends of a pair of tubes in series, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). The tubes are detachably fastened in the supports by hooks 20.
