[Class 38 (i)] A cable clamp accommodated in a recess 23 in the housing of an electrical connector comprises a movable bridge having two parallel insulating bars 20, preferably spaced apart by two nuts 21, to engage a cable 14 in areas spaced in its length. The screws 25, associated with the bridge and the housing, clamp the cable between the bridge and a co-operating part of the housing which may be ribbed.
