A contact intended for use in a socket-outlet box and to be engaged by a plug for making a tapping from a continuous linear conductor 15, comprises an angle element 16, 27, limb 16 being threaded to receive screws 28 which, when tightened, clamp the element 16, 27 to the conductor 15. A lug 25 on the limb 16 carries plug-engaging contacts 18. Fig. 3 shows a different contact 18a. Specification 630,096 is referred to.
