Abstract
810,623. Two-part couplings. BELLING & LEE Ltd. July 26, 1957 [Sept. 14, 1956], No. 28107/56. Class 38 (1). A socket connector comprising an opensided box 1 has a recess 17 formed in a peripherial wall of the open face in which fits a clamping member 24, the act of mounting the connector on a support 15, by screws 13, 14 passing through longitudinal-holes in said peripheral wall, urging the clamping member into said recess to grip a cable 39 passing into the connector and connected to socket contacts 32, 33 push-fitted into the opposite wall of the box. The box is formed of resilient insulating material and the clamping member formed integrally therewith being connected thereto by a web 23. Specifications 676,144 and 676,172 are referred to.
