Abstract

935,702. Ionization chambers. LANDIS & GYR A.G. July 29, 1960 [Aug. 5, 1959], No. 26471/60. Class 39 (1). An ionization chamber has two electrodes 20, 21 each in the form of a coating of non-metallic conductive material formed in vacuum by chemical reaction with the heated walls of the chamber, and includes a glass bulb 12 tapering at both ends, a glass tube 13 with one end positioned internally of the bulb 12 and an open end sealed to one of the tapered ends of the bulb, the tube 13 being apertured at 14, 15 intermediate its ends, and electrical conductors such as discs 16, 17 extending from the electrodes to the exterior of the chamber. The formation of the electrodes is described in Specification 924,720. A halogen filling may be used.
