Abstract
405,746. Couplings. KLEIN, A. B., 24, Wentworth Mansions, Keat's Grove, Hampstead, London. Sept. 24, 1932, No. 26611. [Class 38 (i).] A coupling or connector is provided with a neon lamp or other luminous discharge device, connected to the opposite poles of the circuit to indicate when the circuit is energized, and so arranged as to be visible from all sides. The lamp 15 fits into a holder 16 of a type suited to the lamp, with contacts 19 connected to terminals 18 that may be plug or socket contacts or binding-posts 22. The device illustrated is to be interposed at any point in the circuit having leads 24 running through hollow side member 25 to connect the terminals 22 with those 23 at the other end. The lamp is enclosed in a glass cylinder 20. In the case of a socket member the lamp may protrude at one end being protected by a metal guard screwed to the body of the coupling.
