[Class 110 (iii)] The compressor of a gas turbine plant for aircraft production receives air through the inner region of a gear-driven tractor propeller. The shaft driving the propeller passes through the compressor and the latter is driven by one or more sleeve members surrounding that shaft. Either or both the turbine and the propeller may be of the double contra-rotational type with the interposition of the necessary gears. Specifications 586,555, 586,556 and 586,557 are referred to.
