588,092. Gas turbine plant. HOWELL, A. R., and POWER JETS (RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT), Ltd. Jan. 31, 1944, No. 1807. [Class 110 (iii)] A gas turbine plant, for providing a propulsion jet for aircraft, comprises two turbinecompressor units made up of freely-mounted oppositely rotating rotors with two tiers of bladings, the air compressed in each unit being transferred through a combustion chamber to the turbine in the other unit. Plant of this kind can be mounted in an aeroplane wing.
