Abstract

575,844. Delivering measured volumes of liquid. WINGET, Ltd., and STANCLIFFE, C. W. April 14, 1944, No. 6928. [Class 106 (v)] Apparatus for delivering measured volumes of liquid to a machihe comprises a valve interconnected with the driving means and controlling the admission of liquid to a doubleacting cylinder fitted with a piston of variable stroke from which the liquid is delivered to the machine. The valve 4, rotated through intermediate gearing from the machine, connects the ends of the cylinder 1 alternatively with a supply duct 17 and outlets 19, 20, one of the latter being connected to an air chamber to compensate for momentary variations in pressure. The piston 2 is fitted with an abutment 7 which engages an adjustable stop 8 whereby its stroke can be varied.
