676,445. Delivering measured quantities of liquid by volume. GRAY, D. D. Sept. 20, 1949, No. 24107/49. Class 106(v) A device for measuring and delivering liquids supplied thereto under pressure includes the combination of a body 10 with a cylindrical passage 11 therein, an inlet and a discharge manifold 28, 27 associated therewith, ports or openings 12, 13, 14, 15 towards each end placing the cylindrical passage in communication with each of the manifolds, a hollow cylindrical sleeve 18 positioned in the cylindrical passage 11 of the body 10, a piston 30 movable inside the sleeve, a port or opening 24 at one end and two ports 25, 26, at the other end in the sleeve 18 so that when it is manually turned to one position, liquid under pressure is admitted into the sleeve and so moves the piston 30 whilst liquid on the other side of the pistonis for,ced out through ports or openings into the discharge manifold. The sleeve 18 is held in position by caps 19, 21 at each end of the body 10 of the device, which caps have inward extensions 20, 22 to limit the stroke of the piston, the extension 20 being adjustable. The sleeve 18 is turned by a rod 23 extending therefrom through a T- shaped slot 29 in the body 10.
