572,053. Centrifugal pumps. MILLING- TON, W. E. W. Feb. 4, 1944, No. 2103. [Class 110 (i)] In a centrifugal pump comprising an impeller a which delivers liquid from an inlet e into an annular chamber f at the lower end of a vertical pipe, delivery from the chamber into the pipe, or into the next stage of a multistage pump, takes place through an opening k, shown as an annulus, in the upper part, and near the periphery, of the chamber.
