Abstract

606,947. Centrifugal pumps. HARLAND ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and ANDERSON, H. H. Feb. 20, 1946, No. 5291. [Class 110 (i)] The inlet and outlet connections of a multistage centrifugal pump are formed in a massive end cover 12 which closes the open end of a barrel 11 enclosing the pump stages 10. The first pump stage is secured to the end cover 12 by bolts 17 and each other stage is secured to the preceding one by bolts 16. The final discharge passes around the stages to the channel 14a leading to the outlet connection.
