Abstract
703,533. Liquid-ring pumps. SIEMEN, O., and HINSCH, J. July 9, 1952 [July 9, 1951], No. 17291/52. Class 110 (1) In a liquid-ring air pump comprising two impellers connected in series, the first stage is provided with a suction port 10 on one side only of its impeller 3 and with discharge ports 11, 12 on both sides. From the port 12, the air passes by way of an intermediate space 4 to a suction port 13 of the second stage, and the air leaving port 11 is taken through a pipe 16 either to the port 13 or, as shown, to an additional suction port 14. The second stage may be constructed with one suction port and two discharee ports.
