Abstract
566,603. Centrifugal pumps. PULSOMETER ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and PRICE, A. V. July 1, 1943, No. 10699. [Class 110 (i)] A centrifugal pump A<1> is primed by liquid admitted to the inlet chamber E from a chamber D on the pump discharge side through a port D1 controlled by a valve H, coupled to an inlet valve G, K on the suction pipe F. When the pump is primed, the inflowing liquid lifts the valve G, K and more or less closes the valve H. The priming device may be attached as a unit to an ordinary centrifugal pump. The delivery pipe B<1> leads up from the bottom of the pump chamber to keep the impeller liquid sealed.
