Abstract
505,047. Phosphate fertilizers. AKTIEBOLAGET KEMISKA PATENTER. Nov. 30, 1937, No. 33107. Convention date, Nov. 10. [Class 111] [Also in Group III] A phosphatic fertilizer is obtained by mixing superphosphates or double superphosphates with more basic substances which themselves contain phosphoric acid in citric acid-soluble form, e.g. basic slag (Thomas meal), the mixture being kept in movement during a substantial part of the interaction of its constituents and /or the absorption of water of crystallization, and water in a finely divided form being added before or during the mixing. The quantity of water used should preferably correspond to at least that quantity absorbed as water of crystallization by the newly formed compounds (e.g. dicalcium phosphate). The product may be subjected to an after-treatment in a revolving drum or the like. The treatment may be carried out in the presence of one or more other fertilizers, e.g. nitrogen or potassium compounds. Specification 455,703 is referred to.
