[Class 39 (iii)] In an immersion heater comprising a wire resistance wound on a mica strip and enclosed in a flat tube 3 connected at one end to a terminal block 5, the element is bent longitudinally to give it transverse rigidity. The element may be given a double bend as shown or may be given a number of bends to produce several transverse ridges.
