Abstract
367,259. Wire resistances. CREDENDA CONDUITS CO., Ltd. and DAVIS, P. W., Rood End Road, Oldbury, Worcestershire. May 21, 1931, Neo. 14979. [Class 37.] In an electric heater of the tubular type, a resistance element, comprising insulating strips 3 on which resistance wire 4 is wound, is enclosed in a tubular casing and spaced therefrom by insulating projections 8 on studs 9 secured to the strips 3. The strips 3 are disposed on opposite sides of a metal strip 2 which has a terminal connection 2a for one end of the resistance wire and is connected at its upper end to a terminal 7 in an insulating block 6 in which a second terminal 5 is connected to the other end of the resistance wire. A housing 11 protects the terminal block 6.
