Abstract
350,272. Sack-holders. AVERY, Ltd., W. & T., GILBERT, A. S., and TYLER, S., Soho Foundry, Birmingham. June 28, 1930, No. 19704. [Class 58.] A bag holder, specially adapted for use with bag filling machines having automatic weighing mechanism, comprises a pair of arcuate clamping members 3a, 3b, mounted on pivots 4 and provided adjacent these pivots with intermeshing toothed arcs 3a, 3d: a strap 7 encircles the outlet of the feed shoot 6 and is drawn tight to hold the sack on the shoot by having its ends attached to the free ends of the clamping members 3a, 3b, which are forced towards one another by a lever 11 adapted to be pivoted in a recess 3f in the one member and connected by a link 10 to the other member. Eye bolts 3e permit the tension of the strap being adjusted.
