427,911. Sack - holders. LEE, G. R., 2, Dunkirk Gardens, West End, Halifax, Yorkshire. Jan. 17, 1934, No. 1635. [Class 58] A sack-holder comprises a base platform 1, a rear vertical member 3, preferably secured by pivots 2 to the platform and held in its vertical position by a locking bar 5 entering a recess in the platform, and a detachable front vertical member 8 that fits into a slot 9 in the platform. The sack is placed in position with one side of its mouth turned back over the ends of the arms of the rear member, and the front member is pressed forward until the other side of the mouth can be turned over the corresponding arms of that member: recesses 13 are formed in the arms to facilitate the holding of the sack. The sackholder may be folded up for storage : it may also be fitted with wheels so that it can be used as a hand truck.
