420,039. Filling-machines. BERLINKARLSRUHER INDUSTRIE - WERKE AKT.-GES., 63, Gartenstrasse, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. April 4, 1934, No. 10203. Convention date, April 4, 1933. [Class 94 (i)] In a machine for filling flat bags, the bags 1 are contained in a magazine 2, and are pressed against one edge by a weight 3. The magazine is periodically raised by a rod 4 into the position shown in broken lines, causing a filling funnel 6 having a scoop-like end to enter and open the bag. The funnel, which is hollowed at 8, may be hinged at 9 to a hopper 7 so that, after filling has taken place, the bag may be swung against a delivery member.
