Abstract

358,854. Sackholders. BROWN, A., 172, Walworth Road, London. March 13, 1931, No. 7803. [Class 58.] A sack holder comprises a substantially U-shaped hollow casing 4 provided with bosses 5 each having a bore through which a vertical standard 6 passes. Locking screws 8 clamp the casing at the desired height. In each side arm of the casing a spindle 11 carrying sack-holding hooks 12 is mounted. The spindles are connected through cranks 13 and a link 14 and a spring 15 normally. holds them in such a position that the hooks project through apertures in the casing. The hooks are retracted to release a sack by turning the spindles against the tension of the spring 15 by a hand- or foot-lever 16, The holder may be fitted on a weighing apparatus, the lever 16 being automatically actuated when the sack contains a desired weight.
