Abstract

255,257. McConnell, T. Sept. 9, 1925. Circulating or passing materials through fluids; zig-zag roller machines. -Yarn is fed to a mercerizing or other bath through rollers 7, 8 and over a guide e. After passing under tension under a roller 89 in the bath it passes between two stretching members 20 which are positively rotated and comprise spiders 18 with rollers connecting the free ends of corresponding arms. The yarn is then again immersed under tension in the bath and passed between similar stretching members and delivered by rollers 71, 81. If desired, the yarn may be passed through the whole bath again, guides g being provided for returning the yarn to the feeding end of the bath.
