Abstract

228,747. Wreesmann, F. April 14, 1924. Spray evaporators.-In evaporating the volatile constituents of solutions, emulsions or suspensions, the material is atomized by a centrifugal disc E to form a horizontal layer and a portion of the hot air or other gas used for drying is supplied parallel thereto from annular nozzles K, K<1> above or below it, and the main portion of the drying agent is supplied below the spray and rises through it to an outlet L. The main portion is supplied through openings F or through radial slots arranged to give the air current a helical movement. Specification 132,256 is referred to.
